A few words from our parents…

Sun Seeds and Ms. Rebecca were the very first preschool I had experienced and became the standard by which all other were judged. None other has compared. I enrolled my 2-year old into her program which was very sweet and gentle. The days were filled with nature, song, creative projects and even child appropriate cooking of healthy foods. The teacher/child ratio was amazing, giving Ms. Rebecca the opportunity to tend to some special needs my child had at the time, without compromising the needs of others. Not only was the program nurturing for the children, but Ms. Rebecca even had programs for adults, including a parenting book study group and a potluck that featured healthy foods and remedies for children. She is a wise, compassionate, and able teacher.  I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Ms. Rebecca has such a sweet, light energy with children!  She is a wealth of wisdom for parents as well.  We were blessed to have her touch our lives!

Our family discovered Sun Seeds in the second year of the COVID pandemic when we were going through a particularly challenging time in our home. I remember telling Ms. Rebecca that I needed her to be a safe, calming refuge for my daughter because at that time, I couldn’t provide that for her at home. During this chaotic time, Ms. Rebecca remained a stable, loving force for my daughter. She sat with her through big feelings, shared in her joys, and provided the environment needed for my daughter to begin to heal. She began to have meaningful peer friendships and to get her childhood cheer back. My daughter continues to see some of the children from that year at Sun Seeds and begs to go back to summer camp every year. Her memories from her time at Sun Seeds are filled with magic. She talks about “long walk days” and packing picnic snacks. She talks about baking bread together and finding special berries in the woods. She remembers having a nosebleed and Ms. Rebecca showing her a special herb to help stop it immediately. She remembers the handwork done together on the porch and cold days by the fire. She remembers storytelling with silks and dolls and singing songs together. Sun Seeds helped shape my daughter’s childhood and I am forever grateful for that.

Rebecca is such a kind resource for the triumphs and challenges that I experienced with my son while he was in her care. It was a real blessing to have her as a teacher for him, because I was confident that he was supported and nurtured while not with me.

Our son attended Sunseeds with Rebecca during his early childhood years, and it was a truly cherished experience. The beautiful natural setting, the gentle rhythms of the day, and abundant time spent outdoors created a calm and nurturing environment. As a trained Waldorf early childhood educator, Rebecca brings a deep understanding of child development into every aspect of the curriculum—offering meaningful projects, nature walks, storytelling, puppet shows, and a gentle space for children to simply be. She holds the seasonal festivals with such warmth and love, creating lasting memories for both children and parents. When you meet Rebecca, her sparkling eyes and heartfelt smile instantly make children feel seen, welcomed, and safe. We are so grateful that Sunseeds was part of our son’s earliest years—and even now, we continue to feel part of the Sunseeds community.

It was an honor for my child to be in Ms. Rebecca’s class. We were blessed to work with her for one school year but wish it could have been more years!  My child loved her class and the motherly, caring way that she led the classroom. I loved all of the wisdom that Ms. Rebecca shared throughout the year and she always assured me with strength and confidence when I had questions. After the school year ended, my husband and I continue to contact her for her expert opinion on the best ways of working with our child.
